It’s that time of year again — the Super Bowl weekend, when friends gather, food gets piled high, and TVs are everywhere. Whether you’re prepping for a home watch party or stepping out with friends in Stillwater, I’ve got the scoop on how to make this weekend unforgettable.

Not into hosting? Grab your crew and enjoy the game around town at these local favorites with TVs, good eats, and a lively crowd:

  • The Garage Burgers and Beer — Casual spot with burgers, craft beers, and TVs everywhere — perfect for game day.

  • Louie's Grill & Bar — Classic bar & grill with tons of screens and a fun crowd.

  • George's Stables — Pub vibes and solid drinks, great for cheering on your team.

  • Finnegan's Fighting Goat — A local favorite for cold drinks and great atmosphere.

  • Eskimo Joe's — Iconic Stillwater hangout - two words: Cheese Fries

  • Iron Monk Brewing Company — For craft beer fans — they’ve got TVs too, and sometimes food trucks parked out front for game day eats.

Whether you’re into a boisterous crowd or a laid-back brewery vibe, Stillwater’s bar scene has a place for you this Super Bowl Sunday.

My Favorite Game-Day Recipe: Smoky Sweet Chili Wings

Nothing says football like crispy wings — and this version brings smoky, sweet, and a little heat. Perfect for prepping ahead of kickoff!

Ingredients

  • 3 lb chicken wings

  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • Salt + pepper to taste

  • ½ cup sweet chili sauce

  • 2 tbsp honey

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tsp sriracha (optional spice!)

Directions

  1. Prep & Season: Pat wings dry. Mix paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper — toss wings until evenly coated.

  2. Bake: Arrange on a rack over a baking sheet. Bake at 425°F for ~40 minutes (flip halfway) until crispy.

  3. Make Sauce: In a small pan, warm sweet chili sauce with honey, soy sauce, and sriracha until slightly thickened.

  4. Toss & Serve: Toss the baked wings in the sauce and serve immediately with celery + ranch or blue cheese.

Serve these with plenty of napkins and cold drinks — friends will be asking for seconds!

No matter where you cheer — in your living room or with a cold brew downtown — make this Super Bowl Sunday in Stillwater one full of great food, friends, and community spirit.
