My Stillwater Story
My Stillwater story began in 2008, when our family moved here from out of state with three young children and a new career opportunity for my husband. Like many who relocate, we arrived with excitement, plenty of questions, and a long list of things to learn about our new community. What we quickly discovered was how welcoming Stillwater truly is — a place where neighbors lend a hand, friendships grow easily, and community spirit runs deep.
Over the years, we’ve built a full and meaningful life here through volunteer work, our church, and the many activities our kids participated in. We’ve cheered through seasons of SHS Marching Band, supported countless Boy Scout adventures, and marveled at the incredible musicals produced by the Stillwater High School Theatre Department. One of my proudest moments was watching our oldest perform with the OSU Marching Band Color Guard at Boone Pickens Stadium — there’s nothing quite like seeing your child on the jumbotron surrounded by a sea of orange!
Those experiences shaped not only our sense of belonging but also my passion for helping others find their place here too. Whether you’re moving across town or across the country, I understand what it takes to make Stillwater feel like home — and I’m honored to help others begin their own Stillwater story.
