Banana Pudding & Real Estate: Finding the Perfect Fit (with a Little Love and a Lot of Practice)

If you would have told me years ago that banana pudding and real estate would somehow connect in my life, I probably would have laughed and handed you a spoon.

But here we are.

As a mom, some of my sweetest memories are tied to the simplest things—like figuring out what would make my kids smile. My oldest has always been the pickiest eater, but bananas? Always a yes. So naturally, I asked myself: what could I make that would make her light up—and in turn, make me light up too?

That’s where my first love comes in: desserts.

I’ve always considered myself an authority in baking and sweet treats. But just like anything worth doing well, it takes practice. A lot of it. Trial and error. A little creativity. And sometimes, a whole lot of patience.

So I went on a mission—searching for the perfect banana-based dessert.

Recipe after recipe, tweak after tweak… until I found it.

Ironically, it came through a connection in my real estate world. Oklahoma Closing and Title Services here in Stillwater hosts a few annual events centered around appreciation, the real estate community, and—let’s be honest—really good food. These gatherings are always such a refreshing pause in the middle of busy real estate seasons. A chance to connect with the people who help make every transaction smooth and successful.

And at these events, there are always a few staples. One of them? Banana pudding.

And let me tell you… it is heaven.

I quickly found out that it was Vickie that brings her banana pudding - and I asked for the recipe. (Thanks, Vickie) The ingredients were simple, classic, and absolutely delicious. From there, I did what I always do—I made it my own. A few tweaks here and there to better fit my daughter’s tastes, and just like that, it became a staple in our home. Especially for her birthday.

Rich. Creamy. Comforting. Consistently loved.

And somewhere along the way, it hit me…

This is exactly how I approach real estate.

Because what does banana pudding have to do with homes for sale in Stillwater, OK? Everything.

In real estate, my clients often come to me with a simple idea: “I want to buy a home.”

Maybe it starts as a checklist—3 bed, 2 bath, 2 car garage. And yes, those details matter. But finding the right home—the one that feels like this is it—takes more than just matching features.

It takes communication.

It takes truly listening.

It takes creative thinking.

And it takes a willingness to try a few “recipes” before we land on the one that’s just right.

Just like I didn’t stop at the first banana pudding I made, I don’t stop at the first house we walk into.

We explore.

We refine.

We learn what feels right—and what doesn’t.

Because my goal as a trusted resource for Stillwater OK real estate isn’t just to help you find a home. It’s to help you find the one you’ll come back to, love, and choose again and again.

The one that fits your life.

At the heart of it all, the lesson is simple.

I wanted my daughter to be happy.

And I want the same for my clients.

Whether I’m in my kitchen perfecting a dessert or out showing homes across Stillwater, the approach is the same: thoughtful, intentional, and always focused on the best results.

Because the right recipe—and the right home—are both worth the time it takes to get there.

And when you find it? It’s just that good.
