My Journey to Real Estate: A Lifelong Passion Realized

My career story is as varied as it is fulfilling, and I’ve truly loved the path that’s led me to where
I am today. After graduating from college, my husband Dalton and I moved to Utah to embrace
life in the mountains. I began my professional journey with the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association,
and while there, I got my first taste of event management—something I’ve always enjoyed for its
energy, variety, and constant change.
Soon after, I joined the Hilton Hotel in downtown Salt Lake City, where I had the exciting
opportunity to work with high-profile clients such as NBC Sports, Xerox, and Monster.com during
the 2002 Winter Olympic Games. It was an unforgettable time, both personally and professionally.
Next came a move to the desert of Southwest Utah, where I worked as a group sales manager at a destination spa. Just two years later, we found ourselves back in Salt Lake City, this time with
a growing family. I shifted gears and joined a home builder’s design center—an experience that
turned out to be a perfect fit. I’ve always loved floor plans, interiors, and home design, and that
role was my first professional step toward what would become a lifelong interest in real estate.
In 2008, we made our move to Stillwater, Oklahoma—a community that has been home for over
17 wonderful years. During those early years in Stillwater, I focused on raising my family and
staying involved in my church, PTA, and the Stillwater Junior Service League. But I always kept
one eye on the local housing market, knowing that one day I would officially step into real estate.
In 2015, I began real estate classes, and by early 2016, I had joined Dolores Lemon at Real Estate Professionals. It’s been an incredible experience ever since. People often ask me what I love most
about real estate, and honestly, my answer changes all the time—because I love so many aspects
of this work. From the creativity of marketing and the nuances of the local market to ongoing
education and even those little “yummy noises” we make when walking through a beautiful home
—it all lights me up.
But above all, I love building relationships. It’s a true honor to be a part of someone’s journey
during one of the most meaningful decisions of their life. I don’t take that lightly.
My goal is to make your experience as seamless—and as enjoyable—as possible. It’s not just my
job. It’s what I truly love to do.
